Martin herself came up with the design of her coffin during her lifetime. 
Teacher Mary Martin herself came up with the design of her coffin while still alive. It turned out that the students constantly gave her candy M&M's - the name repeats her initials. It ended up being nice tradition for Mary. 
At the funeral, family members dressed up in different T-shirts and hats. with the image of mascots, and sweets with the names of loved ones.
