At the end of January, Tesla Model Y owner Prerak Patel the steering wheel fell off while driving on the highway. As a result of short litigation with the manufacturer, he managed to get a new car.
The incident happened on January 30th. The driver was currently driving highways with his family. He managed to land safely on roadside. At the same time, the new car - the Model Y crossover - he took from dealer just six days before. 
Initially, the dealer did not recognize the case as a warranty case and issued an invoice for a hundred dollars. However, after Patel turned to social networks to Elon Musk, the fee was canceled. The owner was not satisfied with this, and he arranged a poll among his subscribers on what he should do with the car.
Option "Keep it repaired and ride with confidence" received a minority of votes. The vast majority, 83 percent, voted to demand the replacement of an electric car with a new one. AND Tesla agreed to this. However, it is not yet clear when Delivered Model Y for replacement. 
There is another point that does not suit the victim side. Tesla is calling the replacement of the electric car a "goodwill gesture." The company does not recognize the presence of a system defect and no revocable does not announce campaigns.
