In the English city of Lincoln, the trial of the former chef at the Royal William IV pub. According to Metro, the 25-year-old Tom Williams resigns due to salary dispute on holidays. And soon he took revenge by running establishments in the kitchen "cockroach bomb".
The incident took place on October 13, 2022, two days after after Tom Williams retired from the pub. He left with a scandal and threats (including planting cockroaches), but no one thought that he says it seriously.
According to the prosecutor, the defendant entered the premises and released several (or rather twenty) cockroaches. This is a non-native species of cockroaches, which are used to feed snakes and tarantulas.

The pub lost around £22,000 because he was forced to close for general cleaning after the attack former colleague.
According to a statement read by the prosecution, Tom Williams inflicted not only financial, but also moral damage. All pub staff especially the cooking team, very upset about what happened. They were overwhelmed by the fact that the person with whom they worked side by side, so acted ruthlessly towards them. His act resulted in a simple work and general cleaning, for which the staff had to stay until late.
The defense, in an attempt to alleviate the situation, admitted that Tom Williams made a number of bad decisions. He had a dispute with the owner pub about additional payments. He did not succeed in it and took bad decision to get compensated for it in another way. Same the unfortunate decision was that the defendant did not appear in court. However, he filed a guilty plea for burglary with intent cause criminal damage.
The matter was complicated by the fact that the 25-year-old man already had crimes: battery, possession of bladed weapons, assault, drunkenness and disorderly conduct. The court took all this into account and sentenced violent cook to 17 months in jail with a suspended sentence punishment for two years.
Announcing the verdict, Judge Katarina Sholin said that revenge is act of an immature person, and Tom Williams, despite his 25 years, is still clearly hasn't matured. His growing up could benefit both his son, and society as a whole.
