Why do Koreans put up tents in their own houses (5 photos)
Each hut has its own rattles.
And in some huts there are tents at all. And now I'm not kidding: networks have been circulating for several years photos of how South Koreans put in their houses the most real camping tents of different colors and sizes. Under such photos, real battles are usually unfolding on the topic of why and how it is done: someone suggests that this is how they dry tent; someone who entertains children in such a way (after all, we also made huts from improvised means); and someone even talks about the courses of young scouts.
Only the truth is much more interesting than any assumptions: southern Koreans live in their tents, which are, yes, inside them own apartments. And the reason for this is not some kind of mental disorder, and banal savings: living in a tent, you can save money on heating in winter.
The thing is that energy prices in South Korea are high, and in recent years it has been completely unbearable for many. And the reason for that lies in the closure of nuclear reactors, which provoked a sharp rise in prices home heating (generally for electricity, because the relatively warm South Korea is often warmed by heaters, central heating not in many areas). People just couldn't take it any further. such a financial burden.
And here it is necessary to clarify: despite the high growth of technology and in in general, the relative prosperity of the Republic, in South Korea is still many poor people remain, many of whom live literally in the basement premises that were built as bunkers in case of conflict with North. Financially disadvantaged segments of the population faced a real dilemma: bask or eat.
Fortunately, they found an ingenious solution - those same tents. Putting them right in the middle of the apartment. Koreans began to move out of the cold beds in a warm sleeping bag (and sometimes on a warm mattress). it turned out to be much more economical. Firstly, it takes a lot to heat the tent. less energy than heating an entire room. Second, the tent is better keeps warm than the same room.
However, if you carefully study the issue, you can understand that Koreans were the first tent dwellers, but it was they who turned this way of life is in trend. And this proves once again: a man can adapt to any conditions.
