In the German city of Brandenburg there is an unusual place - the old hangar, which was converted into a resort. Even in the middle of winter, you can relax on the beach and enjoy the tropical heat. Resort made from military hangar, which previously served as a parking lot for Russian airships production.





In this old hangar, a whole resort was erected, which received the name "Tropical Islands" (Tropical Islands). It is located in the city Brandenburg, northeastern Germany. The resort is considered the largest structure in the world without supporting pillars inside. Whatever the weather stood on the street, entering here, you will find yourself in the tropical heat.



The resort was originally made from a military hangar, which was a parking lot for airships of Russian production. In the 90s, their production was wanted to revive, but the idea failed - the company went bankrupt. Then the construction acquired the Malaysian concern Tanjong, which carried out the idea with resort.



This is more than just a water park - there is also a beach with sand, and hotels, and many restaurants, as well as one of the largest covered tropical forests. The length of the pavilion is 360 meters, and width - 210 meters. The temperature inside is always around +30 degrees. The resort operates around the clock, and accommodates 6 thousand visitors - while anyone can stay overnight in a hotel or tents.
