A male turtle named Freddy was injured during a forest fire in Brazil. Most of all went to his shell. They are very important for the life of turtles, so he needed a medical help. A group of Animal Avengers veterinary rescuers volunteered to help poor guy. To do this, they decided to use a 3D printer.
Having made all the necessary measurements, a group of doctors modeled a new shell for Freddy, and printed it using a 3D printer. First the result was a white shell that fit the turtle perfectly in size. The team then decided to make it as close to reality as possible, and hand painted - so that it looks like a real shell.
In total, four people participated in the process of creating the shell. veterinarian, surgeon and 3D designer. Now Freddie is happy - he is in full swing crawls with a new shell, and is very grateful to his saviors!
