Ultra-rare 1957 BMW 507 garage find sold for 2.4 million euros (12 photos)

Rare BMW 507 kept in the same family for forty-three years, has just been sold at auction for 2.38 million euros. Total was 254 copies of this now valuable roadster were produced.





The 507 Roadster is one of the most coveted today. BMW cars, and over time it has acquired historical significance for stamps. But a few stars who owned the 507, including Elvis Presley or Alain Delon, sometimes make people forget that the model failed commercially for the German manufacturer.



Mercedes 300 SL was the main competitor in the US, but prohibitive the price of the 507 was the reason for the early end of his career. This is one of thirteen new 507s delivered to Venezuela. His the first owner was the American businessman Lester Stebbins, who lived in Caracas when I ordered my car.
