Tigress mourns two cubs who have passed away
A mother tigress lost two cubs at an animal sanctuary in the US state of Wisconsin. Employees filmed sad footage of the tigress mourning, realizing what happened to her cubs.
A tigress mourning her cubs was filmed at the Shalom Wildlife Animal Sanctuary in Wisconsin, USA. It turns out that on that day she lost two of her cubs - four-month-old tiger cubs fell into an icy pond while playing on a log and drowned. After that, a mother named Ginger, feeling everything, began to mourn the kids. According to the caretakers, she even howled.
"Tigers are great swimmers, but unfortunately the cubs drowned after trying to climb the ice and it cracked under their paws," the staff said. In the video, the tigress covered herself with her paw and mourns. According to employees, at that moment she did not sleep, as it might seem at first. The other two cubs tried to cheer her up and walked beside her, but Ginger remained sad.
By the way, Ginger and some of her cubs are rare white tigers. They are so rare that out of 10,000 ordinary Bengal tigers, only one white one is found. The color of these tigers is caused by the presence of recessive genes. They are smaller than Bengal tigers, and often have various genetic defects.
