History helps us in many ways to understand modernity, its complex questions and dilemmas, how global, national and local relationships between people. But as interesting as it may sound, few people want to sit for hours at dusty textbooks. Luckily, history can be learned in other ways, for example, by looking at interesting and vivid pictures of past days.
