The couple took a puma from the Saransk petting zoo and turned it into a spoiled house cat (31 photos + 1 video)
Maria and Alexander Dmitrievs always believed that a peaceful life in the same house with a huge cat was their destiny. One day, a couple saw a puma kitten while at the Saransk petting zoo in Penza. They immediately fell in love and wanted to take the baby with them. After negotiating with the zoo owners, Maria and Alexander surprisingly received consent.

Thus, for several years now, a 40-kilogram sheep has been living in a simple human apartment and not giving a damn. Such pets are rare in civilized society, so the owners of a 3-year-old puma named Messi document in detail their life with him. And his life is with them.
Meet Messi!

And he is a real puma, named after the famous football player

Messi has a very unusual story: the fact is that he is a house cat

Although his size and the fact that he is a cougar should suggest otherwise

But his owners, Maria and Alexander Dmitriev, took Messi to their place from the petting zoo

While visiting the Saransk Zoo in Penza, Messi's rescuers noticed him and instantly fell in love

Maria and Alexander have long wanted to get a big cat and did not miss this chance

After talking with the owners of the zoo, they, to their surprise, received consent

And we were able to take the 8-month-old kitten home

Now Messi, who is already 3 years old, feels like a happy 40-kilogram domestic cat

Due to the fact that the baby spent a lot of time in captivity, he could not be released into the wild.

And Messi's health was far from ideal

But his new best friends cured him! Although its size remains modest by the standards of cougars

Raising a cougar at home is very different from raising a regular cat.

From this point of view, Messi looks more like a dog with cat-like habits

He even deals with boxes faster.

And it takes up more space

And try to deny something to a cat with such well-developed muscles

He is the main star at all exhibitions!

And such a thug still needs a bath

But Maria and Alexander approached Messi’s upbringing with full responsibility

They walk with him twice a day and periodically pamper the baby with beautiful places, be it the mountains

Or the coast

Or snowy fields

They even found a dog training school that Messi could attend, where he was taught to follow about 10 commands

In general, Messi is very friendly and gets along well with other living beings

For example, in the Dmitriev family there lives another cat - the Sphynx Kira, who has no complaints about Messi

Of course, keeping a wild cat at home is dangerous, but Messi is a special cat

And he has special owners!
