Pregnant cow escapes from truck to save calf from slaughterhouse (3 photos)
A cow named Brianna became famous throughout the world. Just ten minutes from a meat processing plant in Bergen County, New Jersey, a pregnant cow was able to escape from a truck. Brianna was taken into the care of animal rights activists and gave birth to a calf two days after the incident.

Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue shared the story of the brave cow: "Brianna, a healthy cow, already heavily pregnant, was on the way to the slaughterhouse in a truck. She was less than ten minutes from the slaughterhouse when she escaped from the truck... She never knew freedom, about nine months ago she was inseminated, then deprived of her home and family, but this was not enough, now they wanted to deprive her of her beautiful baby and her own life. She and the cub would have been killed in vain... This is the reality of the meat and dairy industry."

Animal rights activists have called on society to give up meat to save animals from death.
Almost all local police officers were sent to capture Brianna, who weighed about 450 kg.
