Everyone who has to live near a busy highway will agree with the action of the Englishman Jim Dyke. The man lives in the small village of Klaus Top and his house is located next to a two-lane road, which is the busiest in the entire village.

Despite the fact that the village has a speed limit of 50 km/h, Jim and his wife Charlotte noticed that drivers very often violate this rule, often driving at speeds exceeding 100 km/h. Local authorities were unable to help the man deal with this issue, so Jim took the situation into his own hands and actually fixed everything. One can only envy his resourcefulness!

Despite the fact that the speed limit in the settlement is up to 50 km/h, the man and his wife noticed that very often drivers exceed the speed almost twice. Not only does the noise from speeding cars interfere with a quiet life, but also the issue of safety is far from the least important. Tired of all this, Jim turned to the administration for help, but they could not do anything.

Then Jim took the situation into his own hands and decided to fix the situation himself.

After spending about £25, he bought a drainage pipe and a reflective beer mug stand. Using this kit and a hollow box made by himself from planks, Jim created something very reminiscent of a traffic violation camera. To make it even more convincing, the man painted his device bright yellow and placed it at the edge of his garden just outside the fence.

Interestingly, Jim’s idea worked on the same day: drivers, noticing the “camera,” immediately began to slow down and move according to the rules.

Local residents supported the man, only scolding him for the fact that because of this fuss, many drivers know that the “camera” is not real and continue to violate it.

But Jim himself is confident that with such dense traffic the percentage of aware drivers is extremely small, and the rest will adhere to the established speed limit.
