A group of tourists hiking in the mountainous Sierra de Guadarama National Park unexpectedly discovered a mountain goat caught in a trap from which it could not escape on its own.
The animal got its horns stuck between two large boulders, unable to get out. By the time the tourists arrived, it had clearly been hanging there for more than one hour.
“We made some kind of ropes out of our jackets and with our joint efforts pulled the goat out of the trap,” says Mossy Ears, one of the participants in the rescue operation. “At first the animal was clearly in shock. But it only took him a few minutes to recover, after which he came to himself and went on about his business, galloping off somewhere into the mountains."
This goat is clearly lucky: he is free again and lives a free life, without even remembering his saviors!
