Many of our entrances are inhabited by stray cats. With the arrival of winter, their number increases. Often, compassionate residents of houses feed hungry animals.
A cat has appeared in the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk. Recently, a funny incident happened to her that almost cost her her life.
She made her way from the basement to the entrance through the electrical panel, in which there was a small hole. There was not much space there, but it was enough for the animal to crawl into the warm room. Several times the cat did not sneak through very carefully, and the residents of the entrance were left without electricity several times. People contacted utility services to fill the hole.
One fine day, utility workers came to the entrance to deal with the problem. They couldn’t come up with anything better than to close the hole between the electrical panel and the wall using polyurethane foam. And everything would have been fine, but it was at that moment that the cat decided to visit the entrance in the way it was already accustomed to.
As a result, utility workers slammed the animal against the wall with foam. The other side was stuck to the switches and wires. The foam dried and swelled very quickly. The cat was completely immobilized. In order to save the animal, it was necessary to turn off the electricity from the first to the fourth floor.
Rescuers were called. Using hammers, screwdrivers and a knife, they dismantled the electrical panel. Within two hours, the rescue service “unstuck” the poor animal from the wall. In order not to harm the poor fellow, they acted very slowly and very carefully. The cat's howl could be heard throughout the entire entrance.
After all the suffering, the freed animal was taken to a veterinary clinic. The cat is lucky to have nine lives.
- I woke up. Veterinarians say he will live. She is dehydrated and skinny as a skeleton. We'll take her home for now, this cat. Another cat will now appear in the house,” said a resident of the house.
