A blind raccoon brought two kittens to a man and saved the babies’ lives (6 photos + 1 video)
This incredible story happened in one small town. A blind raccoon began visiting a guy whose name was Erin and whose house was on the outskirts. He came every day between 6 and 9 am and Erin fed him breakfast. Then, the animal could return again for lunch or in the evening.
“His eyes were always bright green. He was blind and very afraid of tall grass, snow, wind and birds,” says Erin.
Perhaps this would have remained the story of a blind raccoon and the guy who fed him to help the animal survive. But, 5 years later, this happened
The raccoon came to Erin, accompanied by two black kittens. They followed him as if they were his bodyguards. Erin fed them too.
The kittens quickly figured out what was what and began to come with the raccoon every day. It seemed to be a mutually beneficial exchange: the kittens helped the raccoon move and feel safe, and he led them to a kind person with a source of food.
Erin managed to capture these wonderful friends on camera:
A few months later, the raccoon died. He lived almost 6 years being blind. And for a raccoon living in the wild, this is a very good indicator (on average, they live about 3 years). And, of course, this is partly the merit of Erin, who fed him all this time.
This wonderful animal was missed not only by Erin, but also by his two kitten friends. The guy decided that it was time to win their hearts and shelter them. And after a few weeks and a couple of hundred scratches, Erin managed to earn their trust and love.
The kittens were about six months old, which means they had lived with the raccoon their entire lives. Apparently, he replaced their mother.
But now, when they started living in the house, the old cat Erina took them under her wing.
Erin says kittens have a very close bond. They do everything together all the time.
What a wonderful ending to this wonderful story! Now the kittens are happy and loved. And most importantly, they now have a home and family!
Thank you, Erin, for your big and kind heart!
