A girl collects unwanted boards to make wooden masterpieces

This girl just wanted to make an interesting design item for her home, but in the end she became popular all over the world and now has multimillion-dollar orders!

The girl achieved this result through trial, error and experimentation with the material she collected all summer. Surprisingly, she came up with this original idea out of boredom!

A talented graduate of the Pratt Institute in New York decided to realize her creative potential and open her own business producing tree houses.

She started small and began collecting old boards everywhere. When a sufficient number of them had accumulated, winter came and the idea had to be postponed.

In order not to die of boredom, the girl began to put together a mosaic from the boards. This process turned out to be so exciting that the craftswoman made an original tabletop, inspired by the patterns of patchwork quilts made using the patchwork technique.

“My work is greatly influenced by my parents’ Southern roots,” she says. The state of Alabama, where she is from, is famous for making stunning quilts. Since childhood, the girl was fascinated by the beauty of these classic examples of folk craft.

Patchwork translated from English means “patchwork” or “textile mosaic”. The craftswoman put a feeling of care and attention into the multi-component design of her wooden products.

At the moment, the girl has many orders for the production of unique tabletops. She enjoys coming up with different combinations, choosing wood species of different shades.
