A powerful sculpture that shows inner children trapped inside adult bodies (5 photos)
This year's Burning Man festival in Nevada featured thousands of beautiful works of art, but only one truly became a magnet for human eyes, making viewers wonder about its true meaning. “Love” by Ukrainian sculptor Alexander Milov, represents the frames of two adults sitting with their backs to each other.
Each of the frames, as if in a dungeon, contains a small inner child, reaching out to each other. At night, the figures of children glow brightly.
Of course, you can interpret the meaning that the sculpture carries in your own way, but here is what the sculptor himself says about it: “It demonstrates the conflict between a man and a woman, as well as external and internal manifestations of human nature. Their inner personalities appear as ghostly children holding hands through the bars of their cages. When darkness comes (night falls) the children begin to shine. Radiance is a symbol of tenderness and sincerity that unites people and gives hope for the best in the darkest times.”
The beautiful meaning is not the only reason why the sculpture is so important; among other things, the Ukrainian sculptor received a grant from Burning Man to create his masterpiece.
