Shocking photographs of Princess Diana's final moments were revealed for the first time yesterday. Analysis of several unique images will help the jury decide whether Lady Di's death was faked.

The day before, hearings began in London into the death of Princess Diana. The initiator of the process was the Egyptian businessman Mohammed al-Fayed, who lost his son Dodi al-Fayed, Lady Di's lover, in the tragedy. The tycoon insists that the accident in the Alma tunnel in Paris was staged, but from the first day of the trial he has shown dissatisfaction with the course of the hearing. Al-Fayed told reporters that the judge provided the jury with “too controversial material that will lead to an ambiguous interpretation of the tragedy.” Apparently, we are talking about several shocking photographs taken on August 31, 1997 by paparazzi immediately before and immediately after the accident.

The first of these is the last photograph of Princess Diana during her lifetime. In the photo, she turns back to look at the photographers pursuing the car. Dodi al-Fayed is hiding behind the back of the seat, his bodyguard (the only passenger of the ill-fated Mercedes to survive the accident) peeks out from behind the sun visor. In the photo, driver Henri Paul looks in horror directly into the lens of the camera aimed at them. A few moments after this, the car flies into the 13th column of the Alma tunnel.

A source close to Mohammed al-Fayed claims that this photo proves that the paparazzi deliberately provoked the accident. The tycoon’s camp refuses to agree that the footage was filmed not a few seconds before the collision with the column, but shortly after Lady Di and Dodie left the Ritz Hotel through the back door (experts are inclined to believe this).

Moment of collision

In addition, the jury was shown photographs taken immediately after the accident. The collision with the column was so powerful that the Mercedes was practically crushed. In the footage, Dr. Maye, who happened to be near the scene of the tragedy, is trying to help the mortally wounded Diana. Next to him are firefighter Damien Dalby and his brother Sebastian Pennecant, who also witnessed the drama and rushed to help.

But special attention is drawn to the behavior of the photographers who surrounded the wreckage of the Mercedes (Fabrice Chasry and Serge Benamou stand out among them), one of whom (Serge Arnal) approached the car from the driver’s seat while the engine was still smoking. An interesting fact is that among the paparazzi shifting from foot to foot there was no Jacques Langvant (now 54 years old), a freelance photographer who also photographed Diana and Dodi leaving the Ritz and, as far as is known, followed the Mercedes.

These and other photographs were shown to the jury, which in the next six months will have to decide when exactly the first of the above-mentioned photographs was taken. Which will allow us to conclude that the paparazzi are involved in the drama.

Let us remember that the tragic accident occurred early in the morning of August 31, 1997. The driver of the Mercedes, Henri Paul, according to the investigation, was intoxicated and lost control. The car crashed at high speed into the 13th column of the Alma tunnel in the center of Paris. Dodi al-Fayed, who accompanied Lady Di, died almost immediately; Princess Diana died a few hours later in the hospital.
