Looking at the photographs in the continuation of the post, it may seem that they were taken at an ordinary country dacha, whose owner is posing in the pool, with a gazebo in the background, and having a tea party with friends. But in fact, these photos were taken not at the dacha, but... in Volgograd, in a maximum security colony. Be sure to read further.

Dacha is a maximum security colony! IK No. 24 is located in the city of Kamyshin, Volgograd region. And the cheerful gardener is thief in law Valery Istomin, better known in criminal circles as Valera Kotovsky, serving a sentence for murder and drug trafficking. The total term is 17 years as a planer.

And Valera Kotovsky spent one year of this period - from December 16, 2012 to November 6, 2013, as if at a resort. Maybe the drug lord would have lived like this in comfort and bliss, but on September 12 last year something bad happened. That is, a nuisance for the leadership of the colony, but for 52-year-old Istomin it was a great event - he was crowned. Moreover, the entire process took place online. Istomin was in a resort colony, the other thieves were free, and the connection was established via Skype. There were no problems with the Internet for the thieves in the zone.

But the leadership failed to hide the online coronation; it was even leaked to the media, and they decided to transfer Valera Kotovsky to another colony out of harm’s way, that is, very far away, namely to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. It was there, during a search of Istomin’s belongings, that a flash drive with photographs was found. Interesting photographs were transferred to the Prosecutor General's Office, and it referred the case to the Volgograd region. And only the other day the prosecutor’s inspection in the wonderful high-security zone ended.

Istomin, who was supposed to be in the cell, did not deny himself anything. Not only did he walk freely around the colony, but he also created a beautiful life for his comrades. And a swimming pool for you, and a barbecue with cognac. The Internet, mobile phone and other benefits of civilization were always at hand.

Now the leadership of the colony, of course, will be punished. A reprimand. During the audit, no corruption component was found; in other words, they were unable to prove that the thief generously shared substantial sums from the common fund with his “jailers” in exchange for preferential conditions. Otherwise, criminal cases would have been opened.
