The Duggar family consists of father, mother and... 16 children. When Bob and Michelle got married in 1984, they immediately decided that it was too early for them to have children and the mother of the family began taking birth control pills. Being religious people, the newlyweds kept thinking whether they were doing the right thing. One fine day, after a conversation with a priest, the Duggars realized that children are a great happiness, and preventing childbirth is a great sin. Michelle stopped taking her pills that day and gave birth to twins first! At the moment there are 16 children in the happy family: 10 boys and 6 girls. The family built themselves an excellent one with a living area of about 650 m2. Both parents work as realtors and can afford to support such a huge family.
