Ghost station Lvovskaya Brama and abandoned tunnels of the Kyiv Metro
You may have noticed a ghostly platform on the green line, in the tunnels between the Zoloti Vorota and Lukyanovskaya stations, so this is our Lvovskaya Brama station. It was founded in mid-1991 and frozen in 1997 for the most banal reason possible, and you are mistaken if you think that due to lack of funding. The station is almost ready, but the problem has been for more than 13 years - they have not been able to accept the plan for the reconstruction of Lviv Square, which is why they have not given the go-ahead to cut an exit to the surface. The cost of completing the construction of the station is UAH 303,200.0 thousand. Well, then I suggest you look at the photos...
According to rumors, the exit should be from the shopping center under construction on Lviv Square.
Thanks to the fact that our glorious mayor decided to go down and see the object, these glorious photographs were taken.
This is what the station itself should look like.
Now about the abandoned tunnels. They are located directly above the Golden Gate station. When they decided to build a green line, they wanted to make a transfer between the Zoloti Vorota and University stations. But it is technically impossible to do this and it was decided to immediately build a new station with new tunnels. The old Khreshchatyk-University tunnels have been mothballed. Now the tracks there have already been dismantled and the wires removed.
Well, to finish with a bonus - a plan for the development of the Kyiv metro.
