Hungarian Ikarus buses were supplied en masse to the USSR and became a symbol of Hungarian industry. Over four decades, 143 thousand of these machines were imported into the USSR. Many of them were remembered and loved by our people.

Ikarus-250

High-floor intercity bus produced in Hungary. Despite the fact that these buses are outdated and do not meet the vast majority of modern requirements, they are still sometimes used on intercity routes. Some copies are in good technical condition.
Ikarus intercity buses supplied to the USSR were painted light red with a white stripe at the bottom.
For all other countries, different, more varied paint schemes were used. The distinctive features of the bus are the longer body length, compared to the 255 and 256 models, and wider windows.

Ikarus-256

Intercity Hungarian bus.
The bus has deservedly become a veteran of the Russian market. Imported into our country for a long time, it found demand due to its good adaptability to Soviet operating conditions, ease of maintenance and repair, and relatively low price.


Ikarus-255

Intercity bus of the Hungarian company Ikarus, an earlier modification of the famous Ikarus-256, distinguished by spring suspension.

Ikarus-260

The bus of the Hungarian company Ikarus was produced in 1972-1993 specifically for urban and suburban routes.

Ikarus 263

City bus, the difference between this model and the main model Ikarus-260 is in length; two small windows 50 cm long were added to the body, and, accordingly, the length of the bus increased by 1 m.

Ikarus-280

Urban articulated mid-drive bus, produced in 1973-2000.

Ikarus-283

An articulated bus produced by the Hungarian company Ikarus. Unlike the Ikarus-280, it has gable non-steering wheels on the rear axle and an increased length.


Ikarus-180

The first Ikarus-180 “accordion” appeared in the USSR in October 1968. In the USSR they were used in almost all major cities from the late 60s to the beginning. 80s

Ikarus-556

They have been used in the USSR since the late 60s. Starting from 1973 until the end of the 70s, they were replaced by the newer model Ikarus-260.

Ikarus-55

Hungarian intercity buses, which were produced from 1953 to 1972. From 1961 to 1972, the Lux modification was produced, which was mainly supplied to the USSR. Some buses of this model were used on intercity lines until the early 1980s
