Oddly arched back, slender legs and a covered left eye helped a 4-year-old chihuahua win first place in the world's scariest dog contest in Northern California. 
1. Princess Abby Francis was shivering in the arms of owner Caitlin Francis, who received a $1,000 check for her dog. (EPA)
2. The victory came as a surprise to Francis. “I don't think she's scary at all,” she says. – She seems to me the cutest dog in the world. Frances took Abby to the vet five months ago. This is the first such competition for the dog since it was found running around the streets. (EPA)
