Photos from space taken with a regular camera (29 photos)
Do you think this is a satellite photo? Nothing like this. All that British amateur photographer Robert Harrison needed was an inexpensive digital camera and a helium-filled balloon. Robert programmed the camera so that every 5 minutes it would turn on, take a photo, and switch back to sleep mode. Having risen to a height of 21 km, the balloon burst, and the camera parachuted safely to the ground, where the owner picked it up. According to Garrison, only £500 was spent on the event, but the images turned out to be so high-quality that NASA already called him. When he explained to them the essence of the device, at first they did not believe him, because they spend millions of dollars to achieve such results.
