32-year-old Zhang Xiaoqiao from Shenzhen opened a chain of salons where female staff with fake nails and claws scratch clients on massage tables. An hour costs 300 yuan.
The idea came after a social media video where a woman was scratching her husband's back — in the comments, people wrote that they were ready to pay for something like that.
The first salon opened in May 2026, the second a month later, and the business became profitable. About 70% of the clients are men, and many return.
