London's iconic BT Tower will be converted into a luxury hotel (4 photos)
While the British were getting used to the fact that this iconic communications tower, familiar since the 1960s, was only nominally on the map and for many years classified as a top-secret facility, new owners decided to breathe new life into it. An American investor bought the monumental structure for a hefty sum, intending to transform its classified technical floors into a luxury hotel with an outdoor rooftop pool. However, those who like to travel light will have to be patient, as the ambitious architectural project is expected to be completed only by 2033. Apparently, future guests will not only be able to enjoy views of the British capital from a dizzying height but also experience the legendary past of a tower that once existed only in classified reports. One can only wonder what other secrets of the past will emerge when builders finally reach the most hidden corners of this unique architectural landmark.
