At one zoo, a small chick accidentally ended up in a siamang's enclosure. Instead of being aggressive, the siamang showed concern: she held the chick gently, tried to calm it, and remained close to it.
Zoo staff were later able to safely retrieve the chick and return it to its mother. According to experts, such behavior between animals of different species is extremely rare, but in this case, the siamang demonstrated a strong maternal instinct.
