France 3D-printed the largest apartment building in Europe (3 photos)
Its construction took just over a month instead of the planned 50 days. The three-story building includes 12 social housing apartments. It is located next to a nearly identical building constructed using traditional methods, allowing for a direct comparison of technologies and construction speeds.
According to the developers, this is the first apartment building in France in which all load-bearing structures were printed directly on-site. The printer applied the cement mixture layer by layer, forming the walls and frame, while the construction workers installed the windows, installed the electrical wiring, and carried out other work.
The company is already planning its next project: if the tests are successful, it will begin printing another house, this time with 40 apartments. The goal is to speed up the process and reduce construction costs. ![]()
