The internet has recalled the astonishing and iconic story of American organic chemist and food preservation specialist Frederick Bohr, who gave the world the famous cylindrical tube for Pringles potato chips. The scientist, who patented this shape in 1970, was so proud of his revolutionary invention, which protected the thin slices from deformation, that before his death, he left his family an extremely unusual will. He requested to be buried in the packaging he had designed. When the chip creator died in 2008 at the age of 89, his children unconditionally carried out their father's last wishes. On the way to the funeral home, they stopped at a Walgreens, bought a classic can of Pringles with the "Original" flavor, and poured some of his cremated ashes into it. The can was sealed and buried in a grave in an Ohio cemetery along with a traditional urn containing the rest of the ashes. This story will forever go down in the annals of marketing as an example of absolute dedication to one's craft.
