And very soon, the officers were treated to a strange scene. A stranger approached the nest, stole goose eggs, and carried them off, stuffing them into her pockets. Animal rescue charities claimed the woman had no connection to them.
Police are currently searching for the egg thief, who apparently had no idea she was caught on camera. She likely doesn't even realize she's committed a crime. However, Canada geese are a protected species. Stealing their eggs can result in a fine or even six months in prison.
