A 186-kilogram manatee stuck in a sewer was rescued in Florida (2 photos)
A surveyor working on improving a storm drain discovered a huge manatee trapped in a storm drain. Several fire and rescue units, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and a state university responded to the animal's rescue, the New York Post reports.
The male manatee was removed from the drain and taken to SeaWorld Orlando, where he was placed in one of the park's medical pools. After the animal is rehabilitated, it is planned to be released back into its natural habitat.
