Where Are You Going? A pilot's followers are trying to figure out whether his selfies are real or fake (3 photos + 1 video)
A pilot whose name remains unknown, only his Instagram handle, Pilotganso, posts incredibly beautiful and equally believable selfies on his account. His followers were incredibly surprised by a recent selfie he posted, showing the man halfway out of the cockpit while flying over Dubai's iconic Palm Islands. The caption read, "This is my second selfie over my second home, Dubai."
Another photo, which raises considerable doubts, shows the pilot joyfully giving a thumbs-up high above New York City.
Astute followers quickly realized the photos were fake, while others weren't so lucky with their eyesight.
Those who believed it wrote: "Why take such a risk? You're putting yourself and your passengers in danger by falling out of the window!"
The selfies garnered over 15,000 likes, but not everyone believed they were real. Especially those with even the slightest knowledge of aviation. Some were alarmed by the misaligned shadow, others by the color of the wing. Of course, the biggest giveaway of the humorous pilot was the reflection of the runway in his sunglasses.
At that point, the pilot was forced to admit that the photos were a joke, created using Photoshop.
