A Japanese man showed how to grow a pineapple from leaves (9 photos)
A Japanese man demonstrated how to grow a pineapple indefinitely.
First, he took the fruit, pulled out all the leaves in a circular motion, and soaked them in water until the roots emerged.
After a month, he transplanted the leaves into a pot. In winter, the leaf tips wilt, and the gardener trims them.
For a year, he tended to the plant, changing the soil, and it grew to 40 centimeters tall. The second winter wasn't without problems—the plant began to wobble, but the support saved the situation. In its third year, the pineapple began to bloom.
After 1,295 days, the Japanese man finally harvested the fruit.
