A "Living Barbie" Dies Under Strange Circumstances in Brazil (6 photos)
Barbara Jankawski, known as the "human Barbie" due to her extensive plastic surgery, has died at the age of 31. The social media star was found dead on November 2 in a townhouse in São Paulo, Brazil. A 51-year-old lawyer told police he paid Jankawski for sexual services and that they used illegal drugs together.
A man noticed that Jankawski had fallen asleep and was not moving and called an ambulance. He attempted to resuscitate his guest for nine minutes before paramedics arrived and pronounced her dead.
According to information from the São Paulo state military police, published by CNN Brasil, Jankawski was found wearing only her underwear. She had an injury to her left eye and marks on her back.
The lawyer attributed the facial injury to Barbara slipping and falling.
Authorities are awaiting autopsy results, including toxicology tests, to determine the cause of death.
Yankawski underwent at least 27 plastic surgeries, totaling over $56,000, to achieve her doll-like appearance.
The procedures included liposuction of her neck, abdomen, and legs, breast and buttock augmentation, and a brow lift. She's had rhinoplasty five times.
On October 1st, she published her last post – a video with her colleague Avos Da Razao.
Fans flooded her social media with comments expressing their condolences.
One wrote: "I can't believe it. I loved you so much. Rest in peace."
Another added: "I hope God welcomes you with open arms. I can't believe you're gone."
"You lived a small part of a life you loved, and that comforts us," concluded a third.
