A social media user created a Halloween pumpkin featuring the logo of Slack, the corporate messaging app. When moved, the pumpkin plays the sound of a notification from the messaging app, familiar to many IT professionals and office workers.
To the uninitiated, it's simply a short beep. However, for many office workers, this sound is associated with urgent edits, new tasks, and unexpected messages from management outside of work hours.
