A football league for obese people over 100 kg has appeared in Germany
Everyone's used to the idea of football players as the epitome of perfect physical fitness. This is certainly a good thing, but it's no reason to feel insecure and avoid the field! This idea was emphasized in Germany, where a football league for overweight players over 100 kg (220 lbs) was established. Both men and women with a body mass index (BMI) of 31 or higher are eligible to play—for example, 100 kg (220 lbs) for a height of 180 cm (5'11"). Matches are 8-on-8 and last 70 minutes. Thin players are not allowed, and if you're suspiciously slender, you may be weighed before the game. After the matches, the players go out for a beer together! Finally, skufball!
