Firefighters drained a pond to get a smartphone
An unusual rescue operation was carried out by firefighters from Depok (West Java, Indonesia).
The unusual thing was that it was not a person or even an animal in distress that had to be rescued. They were rescuing an iPhone 15 Pro Max, which a careless man had accidentally dropped into a pond. To get to the smartphone, the firefighters had to use a pump to pump out water from the pond, which was used for breeding fish. The device, which was found switched on, was handed over to its owner.
Of course, the firefighters can be praised for providing assistance to those who need it. But in this case, it was not a matter of life and death, so perhaps draining the pond was too much. In addition, it is unknown what happened to the fish - were they harmed?
