A fox cub that fell into a sewer was not only rescued, but also reunited with its mother (4 photos + 1 video)
This curious little fox, who accidentally fell into a manhole to a depth of about 2 meters, received help.
Concerned residents of Leicestershire (England) heard the yapping of a four-legged baby and contacted both the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals and the fire service.
One of the firefighters went down the hatch and placed the fox cub in a cage. And since the mother fox was wandering nearby (clearly exhausted with worry for her child), there was a chance to reunite the family. To do this, the people left the open cage and moved away. After a while, the fox decided to approach the cage and make sure that it was her cub that was inside. The mother sniffed the fox cub and took him away with her.
Experts say that at this age, foxes often get into trouble. Being interested in everything around them and learning about the world, they, unfortunately, are unaware of the dangers.
In this case, irreparable trouble was avoided, and we want to hope that the fox will be more careful in the future.
