A Policeman Protects a Woman from Angry Bees (2 photos + 2 videos)
In Thailand, a police officer saw a woman swatting away bees and decided to help her. The law enforcement officer took off his shirt and swatted the insects away from the woman.
On Sunday, April 13, a swarm of bees attacked a woman at the famous Buddhist temple Wat Prathat Phanom in Nakhon Phanom Province. It is unknown where exactly the angry insects came from. It is possible that they were angered by the smoke of incense that was being burned in the temple.
Police Sergeant Major Chaiyaporn Hanenin saw the woman swatting away the bees and decided to help. He ran out of his patrol car, took off his uniform shirt and waved it, swatting the insects away.
He then put the woman in his car and drove her to the hospital, where she received medical treatment. The entire incident was captured on video. Hanenin later reported that about eight temple visitors were attacked by bees, but the woman he saved was their first victim.
The policeman noted that he was not thinking about his own safety, but only about the well-being of the woman.
