In the USA, wild turkeys attacked a postman
A postman from the American state of Massachusetts became a victim of unusual stalkers. Wild turkeys followed him while he was working.
The birds followed the postman even when he was driving. “Every time I moved the truck, the turkeys followed him,” he said.
The man plucked up his courage and got out of the car, but he couldn’t avoid a collision. “As soon as I got out, they started chasing me. You saw me defending myself with a box and everything when I got to the step. I thought, ‘Okay, here we are, I need to get back and run,’” the postman admitted.
The man was very surprised by this encounter, despite the fact that during his entire career, he had a variety of experiences interacting with animals. “I do a lot of things on Nantucket [an island in Massachusetts], so I see deer all the time, but this was my first encounter with turkeys,” he said.
After this unusual situation, the mailman gained a reputation as a turkey tamer, and locals came up with a number of jokes about it. On the day of the incident, the mailman was sent ambiguous messages, such as: "Yum-yum" and "Mmm, turkey." "I can't imagine what Thanksgiving will be like this year," he admitted.
