An era has passed: Microsoft will replace the legendary "blue screen of death" in Windows (3 photos)

Microsoft Windows operating systems will remove the so-called "blue screen of death" that appeared when a critical system error occurred. Microsoft believes that the updated design will reduce stress for users.

Microsoft has decided to replace it with green, which, in their opinion, "fits better with the Windows design." The color change is not the only new feature that awaits users in the event of a system failure. The updated interface will remove the sad smiley ":(" and the QR code that previously accompanied error messages.

At the same time, industry media report that the black "screen of death" is also being considered. The first changes will be available to users upgrading to Windows 11 24H2 and higher.
