Her appearance had changed so much that immigration officers did not recognize her by her passport and detained her for an identity check.

Praseres, 35, was stopped at the airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil, before flying to the United States. Immigration officers suspected that the photo in her passport did not match her actual appearance. As a result, the model was forced to spend 40 minutes being interrogated until her identity was confirmed.

"I always knew that this could happen one day, because my appearance had changed significantly. But it was still a shock - you don't expect that you can be detained when you are not breaking any rules," Yana admitted.
