14 "geniuses" who turned toilets into something else (15 photos)
Have you ever looked at a design and thought, "What kind of crazy person came up with this?" Some things are so ridiculous that you want to shake their creator's hand... and send them to a refresher course.
1. Broken tiles.
The toilet is a place where you want comfort. But this designer decided that a huge toilet was more important than a whole wall. The result is a broken piece of tile and questionable aesthetics. Comfort? Forget it!
2. When the toilet merges with the wall.
Saving space is great. But when the toilet is so pressed into the wall that its tank seems to be embedded in the tile, the question arises: what will happen if it needs to be repaired?
3. At an angle into the abyss.
If toilets could feel, this one would definitely suffer. It's on the edge of tile hell, positioned at such a weird angle that the process of "sitting around" turns into a circus trick.
4. Transparent doors - when the private becomes public.
Some things should remain private. Like the toilet. But someone decided that a glass door, even if it's frosted, is a great choice. The good news is that you always know if the toilet is occupied. The bad news is that now you also know what the person inside is doing.
5. Transparent windows in a public toilet.
When you have windows in the door, it’s not a toilet anymore – it’s a show. Now anyone can check out your equipment. The designer clearly wanted to add a little spice to the daily routine.
6. A bathtub by the stairs is the perfect way to get injured.
Stairs + bathtub = potential murder. Slippery floor, minimum support, maximum chance of getting a fracture. What kind of lunatic decided this was a good idea?
7. A sink that takes revenge.
The main thing in a sink is that the water gets into it, and not on the floor. But this designer decided to play "where the stream will go" and installed the faucet so that all the water flies past. But it's perfect for washing floors!
8. Toilet paper holder... right in the toilet seat.
Brilliant? No. Horrible? Yes. The paper is right in front of you, but with this arrangement, the risk of getting it dirty is higher than winning the lottery.
9. Toilet brush plunger - horror from IKEA.
Two in one - that's convenient. But a toilet brush and a plunger on one stick? Good luck not mixing up the sides! The designer clearly wanted to make fun of people who love cleanliness.
10. A sink in the style of "dirt as art".
The pattern on this sink is so realistically reminiscent of... well, let's say, the contents of a sewer, that the question arises: is this on purpose or a manufacturing error?
11. Toilet-grill – barbecue that you don’t want to try.
Someone thought it was a great idea to turn an old toilet into a barbecue. And store ice and drinks in its barrel. If you are not afraid of associations, bon appetit!
12. Snake bath.
This tile is truly terrifying - the entire room, including the toilet and walls, is covered in a pattern reminiscent of snake skin. What effect? A constant feeling that you are being watched, it is easy to go crazy from this.
13. A slide in the toilet.
A combination of a sink and a toilet so that everything that flows down flies straight into the toilet. Is this a space saver or a planned disaster? But I think the latter. No wonder there's already a toothbrush resting there
14. The Throne Room.
Steps to the toilet - because sitting at the usual height is too boring. Now every trip to the toilet turns into an ascent to Olympus. Just be careful, the descent can be unexpected.
