A collectible Ford GT supercar, which was considered missing, was spotted in Kyiv (4 photos)
The legendary Ford GT, which was previously considered to have been taken out of the country, was spotted the other day in one of the parking lots in the capital. This unique car was last seen in Ukraine in 2021, and after the start of the full-scale invasion, its fate remained unknown.
This Ford GT is a true icon among sports cars. Between 2004 and 2006, Ford produced only 4,038 examples of this model, and each one has long since become a collector's item. The supercar spotted in Kyiv has been in Ukraine since 2006. Currently, depending on the condition and value of the particular instance, the Ford GT can fetch up to half a million dollars.
The Ford GT is known for its aerodynamic shape, powerful 5.4-liter V8 engine with a mechanical supercharger, which produces 550 hp and provides acceleration to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. This model was created as a modern interpretation of the classic Ford GT40, which dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans races in the 60s.
It should be noted that 3 years ago a Ford GT Heritage Edition was spotted in Ukraine, but its fate and whereabouts are unknown.
