A rare "Shark" car of Ukrainian production was revealed (3 photos + video)
A very rare car called "Akula" was found near Ivano-Frankivsk. It was created in the 60s in Ukraine.
"Akula" is one of 11 experimental cars created by designer Mykola Parafenko. They were produced in the 60s at a factory in Severodonetsk - the same place where the "Start" minibuses were made (as in the film "The Captive of the Caucasus").
But, unlike "Start", it did not reach mass production. 3-4 such coupes have survived to this day. TopZhir once wrote about these cars.
The body of the Akula coupe is made of fiberglass, and the car is based on Moskvich units. In addition, you can see the radiator grille from the GAZ-21.
The seller of the Akula said that in the late 90s it was driven in the vicinity of Ivano-Frankivsk, but after a traffic accident the car was put outside for fun and it did not rot only because it is plastic.
Now the Akula has been cleaned and plans are to restore it. A donor Moskvich has already been found for it.
