Fierce battle between special operations forces operators and North Koreans in Kursk Oblast
Special Operations Forces operators killed 21 and wounded 40 North Koreans who were advancing on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Special Operations Forces.
As noted, the offensive of the North Koreans, who are fighting on the side of Russia, was held back by operators of the 8th Special Operations Forces Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with friendly infantrymen for more than eight hours with small arms and grenade launchers. Snipers were also working
"In the ninth hour of the battle, the Special Operations Forces group had only a third of its ammunition left. They spent the rest on destroying the enemies. The operators decided to exfiltrate - a military tactic for quickly withdrawing a group from the battlefield to a safe place. The fighters went out in two Humvees in a coordinated manner," the Special Operations Forces explained.
Recall that on January 21, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that 4 thousand North Koreans had already been eliminated in the Kursk region.
