How to understand this: a buyer was waiting for a surprise in a pack of Swiss cheese (2 photos)
The customer couldn't believe his eyes when he opened the package. He turned to netizens for advice.
The man was stunned when he noticed that the Swiss cheese slices only had holes in the visible part of the package. The customer shared his disappointment on one of the thematic forums on Reddit, collecting more than 40 thousand reactions.
"They only made holes in the part that the customer can see," the disgruntled customer wrote in his post.
Cheese without holes
The published photo shows square pieces of Swiss cheese with a few jagged holes placed only along the transparent edge of the package. This creates the illusion that the entire product is like this.
"The cheese is perfect for both hot and cold sandwiches, slicing on a tray or melting on cooked vegetables or for making sauce. Make spicy burgers with mushrooms or make fondue," the manufacturer writes.
According to official standards, real Swiss cheese has natural holes formed during the fermentation process. The size and number of holes depend on factors such as temperature, acidity, and storage conditions.
Different positions
Opinions of Internet users are divided. Some argue that the absence of holes does not affect the quality of the cheese, while others are convinced that without them the product loses its properties.
"Fewer holes = more cheese, right?";
"I honestly don't care. In American-made Swiss cheese, they just make them for show";
"The bigger the holes, the longer the cheese has aged. Therefore, this is the cheapest Swiss cheese, which can only be called that with a big stretch";
"How can you understand this? The most common deception of buyers."
