"Smoky eyes" and contrasting lip contour - flashy makeup became Pamela Anderson's signature back in the 90s. However, in 2019, the actress radically changed her attitude to cosmetics and announced that she would completely give it up. The reason for this was the loss of a loved one.
At the recent Gotham Film Awards ceremony in New York, Pamela remained true to her word, appearing on the red carpet without makeup in an elegant champagne-colored dress.
Although the actress had to agree to wear makeup for her role in the film "Showgirl", Pamela told reporters that it no longer has a place in her life.
In an interview with People magazine, she noted: "Makeup has its time and place. I just feel like it doesn't have a place in my life."

Last year, Pamela said that the loss of her close friend Alexis Fogel, who was also her longtime makeup artist, was the impetus for her to give up cosmetics.
Speaking fondly of Vogel, the star told Elle, "She was the best. But when she left, I realized I was better off not wearing makeup."

Anderson and Vogel first met on a Playboy cover shoot in the 1990s. Their friendship lasted 26 years until the makeup artist died of breast cancer in 2019.
In a 2014 interview, Alexis explained how she helped Pamela find her own unique look in Hollywood.
"She had just started doing Baywatch, but she didn't have her own look yet. I really liked Brigitte Bardot, this sexy kitten with perfect features, but of course she was retro, and I created my own look," Vogel recalled.

Stunned by her reflection in the mirror, Pamela told Alexis, "I want you to do my makeup every day for the rest of my life!"
“We’re really close, like best friends. After so many years of working in so many different environments, I can say it’s been a wonderful adventure,” the makeup artist said.
In a 2023 interview with Elle, Pamela shared, “I’ve noticed that everyone around me is doing bold makeup, and I’m going against the rules. I think as we get older, we all start to look a little ridiculous. I laugh at myself when I look in the mirror. I’m like, ‘Wow, is this really happening to me?’ It’s a journey. I feel confident. I feel good.”
