Rapunzel in real life: a woman received 500 marriage proposals in a year (7 photos)
When Jasmine Larsen started showing off her long hair on social media, she never imagined that it would attract the attention of the world's richest people.
Bristol (England) resident Jasmine Larsen, known online as the "British Rapunzel", admitted that despite the huge attention from men, she finds it difficult to find love.
With her impressive 4ft 7in locks, Jasmine has amassed over 132,000 followers on Instagram, gaining popularity thanks to her unusual hair. However, her love life leaves much to be desired.
Jasmine says she has received around 500 marriage proposals this year alone. One suitor even offered her £250,000 to chop off her long locks, but she refused.
"I'm tired of these proposals. It seems strange to me to marry a person based only on a few photos. I prefer to meet people in person so that the relationship develops naturally," she said.
The girl also noted that her popularity on social networks attracts both rich men who want to impress with money and those with unusual fetishes.
"I had to delete Tinder because I was constantly being matched with either ostentatious rich people or people with weird requests. It made me completely rethink my attitude to online dating," Jasmine said.
The girl is currently focused on her life and business development, she is creating a hair care brand LARS Haircare. However, dating is not in her immediate plans.
Meanwhile, fans continue to surprise Jasmine with their requests. She was offered to wrap her hair around a camera, send a brush by mail, or collect fallen hair and send it.
However, not all reviews of her hair are positive: some women insistently advise Jasmine to donate her locks.
Recently, the girl trimmed the ends of her hair for the first time in a long time, removing 5-10 centimeters for the health of her curls.
"I feel amazing after this. My hair began to look more even and well-groomed, but the length has hardly changed," Jasmine added.
