Blake Lively accused director Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment (8 photos)
A new scandal is brewing in Hollywood. Actress Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against director Justin Baldoni, who was her partner in the film "It Ends With Us." The lawsuit states that Justin's behavior caused Blake "severe emotional distress."
The claims were discussed during filming in the presence of several people, including Blake's husband, Ryan Reynolds. The actress asked Baldoni to stop showing her nude photos and videos, not to talk about his past porn addiction and sexual escapades, not to discuss her body or weight, not to mention her late father, and not to include sex scenes outside of the agreed-upon script.
Blake complained that Justin initiated unwanted kisses during filming. In addition, producer Jamie Heath watched her while she was topless and removing her makeup, despite her asking him to turn away. She also claimed that Justin and Jamie repeatedly entered her trailer without permission while she was in a negligee and breastfeeding her baby.
In her lawsuit, Blake also talks about the conflict that arose because of the advertising campaign for the film "It Ends With Us." The actress claims that Justin used social manipulation to destroy her reputation.
Justin's attorney, Brian Freeman, said Blake's lawsuit is an attempt to "fix her negative reputation." He said the allegations are false, outrageous, and intentionally offensive in order to tarnish his client in the public eye.
He also claims Blake threatened to not show up for the film or promote it, which ultimately led to the film's failure at the box office.
"I hope my lawsuit will help lift the lid on this sinister retaliatory tactic designed to hurt people who speak out about wrongdoing and to keep others safe," Blake told the New York Times.
